Episode 21 How A More Supportive Setting Leads to Better Breastfeeding With Chelsea
The impact a professional lactation specialist can make in your breastfeeding experience is quite profound, especially as a new mother. There are so many new aspects to giving birth to your first child, but the main concern is usually breastfeeding. Having a professional help in these instances can be the difference between feeding your baby for 6 months or for an entire year.
In today’s episode, we sit down with Chelsea to discuss her birthing experience with her first child compared to her second. Chelsea gave birth to her first child in hospital with little to no knowledge of what was going to happen before or afterward. This proved to be a challenge in her breastfeeding journey with her first daughter.
Chelsea’s first experience led her to make some changes with her second daughter that proved successful in being able to breastfeed longer with less issues. She decided on a home birth and hired a lactation specialist, as well as having some hard conversations with family members that allowed for reconciliation.
Join us for a raw and real conversation with Chelsea about her two birthing experiences and a discussion about postpartum depression and its impact on breastfeeding.
